Hall of Flame

We decided to escape the summer heat today by spending some time at the Hall of Flame Museum. We went with Corinne and her cute boys and had a BLAST! Once Isaac realized the fire trucks were stationary, he loved it. (I spent the first few minutes saying, "They are not going to get you...they can't move!") :) Trevor enjoyed it way more than I expected, too. And I love nothing more than hanging out with my boys and watching them learn and explore!

Trev was a little nervous on the big fire truck!

Isaac, Jameson, Trevor and Alex

Isaac and Jameson are SO cute together.

My little firefighter! :)

On a much gushier note, I totally love being able to share these experiences with my sister. Corinne is such a great friend. It's so fun to be in the same (crazy) phase of life together. We have always been very different from one another, but now it seems like we have SO much in common...and I love it! :) Thanks again for coming with us, Corinne! I love ya!

Krispy Kremes

Derek took Isaac out for his first Krispy Kremes this weekend and....he LOVED everything about it!
He insisted that they sit right by the window to watch the donuts being made.
Of course they brought some home for Mom and Trevor!
Trevor thought the Krispy Kreme hat was hilarious.

Poor baby

My little Trevor has had a pretty rough week. After 4 sleepless nights, 2 visits to the pediatrician, many tubes of diaper rash cream, and $50 worth of prescriptions, he is starting to get a little relief. Now if only we could all just catch up on our sleep... :)

(But look at his sweet little face! Makes it all worth it, right?!)

Yummy!

Just a couple cute pictures of the boys enjoying their food.
No doubt about it...these kids LOVE to eat!

Trevor has hit that dreaded phase of independent feeding. I know it's important, but the clean-freak inside of me really does not enjoy it! What a mess! :)

Somehow they always end up with their entire arm in the yogurt!!

We celebrated Isaac's freedom from the gluten-free diet this week with smiley-face pancakes. (We are still in the trial period, but we are all hoping it's permanent!)

Our Superstar!

Isaac has always enjoyed music and loves to sing. His favorite song of the moment is "Baby Bumble Bee." He knows all 3 verses and sings them all day long! It's pretty adorable. The other night I caught the last couple of verses on video. You've got to check it out! :)

Grandma's Mountain

We were able to make another fun trip to Grandma and Grandpa Allen's summer home in Pinetop (affectionately known as "Grandma's mountain").

This is the boys' favorite part of the mountain. Isaac calls it the "bumpy ride!"

Grandma spoiling Trev! :)

Making "soup"

We are lucky to have such a fun place to vacation with our family!

In Case You Were Wondering...

The title of our blog kinda has a double meaning. Obviously, our house is overrun with boys...which is fun, but also pretty crazy. :) But the phrase "my day for boys" really comes from my sweet Grandpa. He had SO many funny sayings (that were known to his family as "Grandpa-isms"), but this one was one of our favorites. One perfect example of a time he used this phrase was when we were talking about an upcoming family vacation, where he would be sharing a bed with my little brother, Scott. We were teasing them about the sleeping arrangement when Grandpa said, "Sorry, Scott...it's not my day for boys!" He had the quickest sense of humor! :)

We love our Gramps and miss him everyday.
