Robot-Mania

The boys are in a summer preschool called "Wee-bots." It's a funny little class all about...you guessed it...ROBOTS! They love going every Wednesday and they always come home with cute stuff. This week it was robot costumes!

Here are the boys showing off their robot moves.
(Well, mostly Isaac. Trevor just wanted to be on camera!) :)

And here is Isaac showing Daddy
what all the buttons on his robot costume do.

Such a funny little phase.
Boys are awesome.

Cutest Cows

Corinne and I dressed up our boys
and took them to their favorite place...CHICK-FIL-A!
(It was "Cow Appreciation Day," which means free meals for dressing up.)

They thought it was so funny that they looked like cows!

Silly little cows

Trevor, Jameson, Alex, and Isaac
Killer cute, huh? :)

Here are their "crazy faces."

The "boys' table"
(Corinne and I have to sit at the "girls' table.")

As we were leaving,
we noticed that there were some real cows outside.
There was a cow and a calf outside for the kids to pet.

They were thrilled!

Jameson and Trev petting the baby cow

As soon as we left, Isaac called Derek and told him that he had "some serious news." He told him all about their costumes, the cow toys they won, and the real cows.
Such "serious news." :)

Scripture Boy

Isaac gave the scripture in Primary today and memorized the whole thing. He was really proud of himself and loved being able to "talk in the microphone." He wanted Grammy and Papa to see him do it, so I told him I'd get it on video and send it to them.

This one's for you, Grammy and Papa. :)

Here's what he's saying:
"Sacred ordinances and covenants
available in holy temples
make it possible for individuals
to return to the presence of God
and for families to be united eternally."

It's a portion of The Family: A Proclamation to The World.

If you haven't read that recently, you should. :)

Mountain Memories

We just got back from another great trip to "Grandma's Mountain" (a.k.a. Pinetop/Lakeside). We had so much fun! The boys loved being able to spend the days outside with their cousins. And Derek and I got some much needed R&R.

Here is the re-cap with pictures:

Isaac and cousin Kade
making "breakfast" in the dirt.
The tree house-built by Grandpa

Handsome Daddy and Trev

It rained almost every day we were there.
On this day, it actually hailed, too.
Trevor LOVED the rain.

Here he is showing me how "yummy" the hail is.

The back patio, covered in hail.

Isaac didn't love the rain/hail quite so much.

As is usually the case,
we spent Derek's birthday at the mountain.
The boys and I created a treasure hunt for him to find his present.
Isaac loved watching Derek try to figure out our clues. :)

Looking for the next clue...

Almost there...
He found it!
We got him the Kinect for his X-Box.
He was really excited and
we're having lots of fun playing it together.

Derek's birthday dinner

Derek's favorite...texas sheet cake

Not sure it's a great idea
to show this boy how to use the lighter!
Yikes! :)

We went to the Annual 4th of July parade
in Show Low. The kids love it!
(My boys just weren't used to the loud fire engines.) :)

Cute cousins

Trevor really got into the parade this year.
He was so fun to watch!

My boys

Isaac mostly hung back by the grown-ups.
He's such a nervous little boy. :)

Otter pops!

Trevor waved at everyone who went by.
Seriously...how did I get such cuties! :)

Making homemade root beer
with Grandma & Grandpa.

Trevor's reaction to the dry ice...total amazement.

More rain!

Isaac and Trev with cousin Carson.
They have so much fun together!

Daddy and Isaac

Trevor loved wearing rain boots.

Staying dry...sorta.

The Show Low fireworks show was canceled,
so we did our own show out back with sparklers.

Isaac was too scared to try holding one,
but Trevor thought it was pretty awesome.

He was so proud of himself for "being brave." :)

A little snuggling to finish off a great night.

Such a fun trip.
