Totally in Love

Derek's sister had a little baby boy a few days ago
and he is SUCH a doll! He's just so round and cute! :)
We are all completely in love with little baby Kaleb.
Isaac and Trevor just can't seem to get enough of him.
Ever since we visited them in the hospital,
they have been talking about babies, pretending their toys are babies, and even asking if we can get a baby.
(Sorry boys...that's not happening any time soon!) :)
It's been so fun to watch them enjoy their new little cousin. Look at how adorable he is!!

Our Field Trip

The boys and I went to the Museum of Natural History. It was a little crowded, but that's kinda what you expect during Spring Break. It was totally worth it...the boys had lots of fun and Isaac has been talking about dinosaurs and fossils nonstop. (He even told me that his dreams had dinosaurs in them!) :)

Isaac's first glimpse of a dinosaur...SO excited!
They both loved the mammoths.
(Trevor kept making the elephant sound...close enough, right?)
Next we went to this really cool light and color exhibit.
Playing with the "green screen"
Such curious little boys :)
Surfing on a prehistoric sea turtle!
They have so much fun together...I love it!
Panning for gold

Can you imagine how big that looks to him? :)
The best part for Trevor was this cute little science room.
They had a bunch of interactive activities for little kids.
Trevor stayed at the sand table for at least 20 minutes.
(For anyone that knows him, that's a long time to hold his attention!)
We totally need a sand table! :)

Such a fun day with my little guys.

Spring Cleaning

I am one of those weirdos that really enjoys cleaning. I think it's because I like the feeling of accomplishment when I'm done. (I also think that it's something I've inherited from my dear ole' dad...that man loves cleaning!) Well, I've been bit by the spring cleaning bug, so we have been busy cleaning and organizing...and I am loving it! The boys even joined in the fun today and got all of their "tubby toys" washed.
Trevor mostly just splashed around and made a mess,
but they sure had fun! Such good little helpers.

Poor Isaac

Isaac had a little episode this weekend with his tummy. He seemed to be in lots of pain, telling us that he had "a knife in his tummy." He kept asking me to take it out for him...it was so sad. Fortunately, we had an appointment with our great pediatric GI specialist, so after an X-ray, blood work, and some meds, he seems to be doing better today. He did really well at the appointment, but was pretty traumatized by the blood test. Poor guy.

Here's a picture of him when we got home: The doctors and nurses gave him a bunch of stickers
and the little goose for being so brave.

I couldn't figure out why Trevor was so sad...
maybe it was just sympathy pain for his big brother. :)

A Little Reflection

Sometimes, in all the craziness of life, it's nice to take a few minutes to reflect on what I'm really doing. This has been a pretty wild week at our house (yes...I know it's only Wednesday!), so I decided to take a little break today and load some pictures onto the computer. These pictures just reminded me of how fun these boys really are and how lucky I am to be doing this job. I wouldn't change it for the world.
(Although I could use a nice, long nap!) :)

Juicing oranges from Grandma's trees

Play-doh time
(Side note: Trevor ate about half a pound of Play-doh
while I was throwing in some laundry. Gross, huh?) :)
I love his concentration.
My handsome little guy! :)
Reading one of our favorite books.
(He has the whole thing memorized!)
Little musicians :)
They get such a kick out of each other.

Yep...it's totally worth it.
